Set up a e-mail account in Outlook Express. E-mail set up in Outlook is similar.

Don't forget these are EXAMPLE DETAILS, replace them with your own specific domain name.

1. Open Outlook.
2. Select Tools | Accounts | Add | Mail
3. Enter a name to display in Outlook
4. Click Next
5. Enter the e-mail address
contact@webholder.co.uk
6. Click Next
7. Enter this next line in Incoming Mail and Outgoing Mail.
www.webholder.co.uk
8. Click Next
9. Enter in Account Name: weholder-contact
10. Enter in Password 11webholder34
11. Click Next.
12. Click Finish

This takes you back to the account selection screen.

Click on Properties.

1. In Mail Account change, if you wish, www.webholder.co.uk to Contact E-mail or similar.
2. Change Name as you wish. This is displayed on emails sent.
3. Enter Webholder Group (or as you wish) in Organisation.
4. Copy an paste E-mail address contact@webholder.co.uk to Reply address.
5. Click on Okay.

I suggest that you use a signature for all your e-mail This is added to all outgoing e-mail

1. Select Tools | Options | Signatures.
2. Click on New.
3. In edit signature type in this, or changed as you may wish.

Regards,

Your signature name

Your company-
Your trading slogan or tag line

Your address
Phone & Fax Numbers.

You may also wish to put these paragraphs at the end of the signature.

Important Note:

The company that provides your dial up Internet account, if not from our own mailholder.co.uk system, may require that the outgoing e-mail (SMTP) settings are their own.
For example bluecarrots.com allow any incoming mail server (POP3) but to send e-mail using the blue carrots connection the SMTP must be mail.bluecarrots.com.

About HTML format e-mail.

In short avoid HTML format, the type that allows colors, images and similar in your regular emails. reserve these for your promotional emails, and then make sure you offer a choice between HTML and standard text formats. for more information about using email for promotional purposes please contact me.
